I thought it was just for micro sd cards but it also holds regular sd cards

There is no rubber seal or rubber oring around the open edges this lip is just hard plastic and it doesnt go around the edge by the hinge i seriously doubt this is water proof but should offer some light water and dust resistance hence the ip54 rating i would not submerge
