They have stripes on one side for visibility and are solid black on the other if you need to hide them which is great but they shipped with both grip handles on the top i was able to flip one around to the bottom so you can lift it from either side but be sure to do that before you add sand itd be impossible afterwards

So the 3 sandbags on base of the tripod weigh a combined 40 lbs

The yellow and black stripes should make the bags and the tripod on which they sit more visible and hopefully avoid people bumping into the tripod
