Pros

Easy to apply, easy to peel the cellophane from them, strong, and 90% permanent. Buy this box and get the bigger rubber glue tube from the walmart automotive tire section. I wish they could invent a cement tube for the glue that can be sealed up to pr...  Read More

Rema brand patches are the best out there in my opinion. I love that even the snake bites i experience (after out-of-control hard landings on big jumps on az rock) can be patched with these. These are great patches.

I do my patching outdoors, the key is not to patch tubes out on the road. I always have a good supply of spare tubes to replace any punctured ones after a ride. This is the kind of thing everyone who calls themselves a bicycle mechanic should always k...  Read More

The tapered edges keep the patched tube performing as similar to a new one. The edges are nicely feathered so they seem to become part of the tube. Just the right size for almost all punctures.

Cons

Even when a patch finally sticks, it's not secure enough to remove the plastic backing without pulling off the patch. These are tiny tiny. Not for automobiles at all.

Quality

The edges of the patch seem to bond and flush with the tube better then most

Good size and quality for common tube punctures

Price

The price is right but i am always running out

If i had gotten this box of patches they would have cost me only

Packaging/appearance

I liked them well enough that i bought the 100 patch container even though i still have 3 patches left in the kit

They are round but with a square plastic area to hold onto when you separate the back from the patch

Immediately replace the cap after brushing on the cement

Attempting to remove the clear plastic might mess up the patch at least i know it was hard to remove and after having done it o...  Read More

Competitiveness

These are the best patches on the market

Ive gone through about a 14 of my 100ct box and have not had a patch not hold

Just be sure to use genuine rema cement and proper surface prep offbrand cements can result in failures even with this quality patch

Keep in mind that these are 25 mm in diameter about an inch so they are not ideal for supernarrow tubes because it is difficult to apply securely to these race tubes

I buffed the tube with sand paper applied the vulcanizing cement let it dry removed the patch frm the foil and put it on the tube and pushed on the patch back and forth with a stone untill the plastic backing started to come off

The stick on patch dont work good

I have used rema patches since 1970 and have found nothing that comes close in more than forty years

I sometimes wind up using tubes until they have more than ten patches

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

There is no reason to throw patched tubes away unless the valve fails the tube rots from age or it blows out through a failed tire sidewall resulting in a hole too large for a patch

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Although due to the chemicals involved i do my patching outdoors the key is not to patch tubes out on the road

Instead carry a couple of spare tubes on each ride
