Would be a 5 star pad without the weird smell the sellers should really let them air out before shipping or atleast take them out of the plastic to minimize the smell

They’re thick so it has some padding if you press down on your mouse like i tend to do and it has a nice color on the edge that’s subtle so it doesn’t scream at anyone who sees it that you’re internally 14 years old and will never stop loving video games

Outside of the aesthetic issue this is not a huge deal tho there are times where i am doing a panic 180 in some game where my hand brushes up against it and it feels noticeably wrong

When the mat i had originally purchased was defective the seller sent me a free replacement even though i was out of warranty
