I even tested it into the smooth side of masonite about the hardest wood product there is where the staples at least went halfway most staplers wont even try

It was able to staple the canvas to the wood and the papers borders and posters to the bulletin boards

The diagram for how to load it is embossed on the side of the stapler but its a mirror image to the product making it more confusing than necessary
