Pros & Cons
Pros
Step down transformer is for powering a newly acquired, 44-year-old japanese turntable/record player.
Great build quality, easy to set up. This is bulky and heavy, but it works very reliably. Construction on this is very solid with a chunky on/off switch. Feels very sturdy and properly heavy.
For the small cost of this device you can easily use any of your japanese devices. It's a terrific transformer and i highly recommend it 100%!
It stays cool and quiet. It is silent and doesn't add any noise to the circuit.
Cons
This seller is the absolute worst with shipping. Used less than 20 times in total and am now filing a warranty claim. Not thrilled. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra dollars to buy this one (https://www.
Annoyingly, the three prong outlets on the front of mine were rotated sideways. Transformer has a horrible design. It output 100v ac but the physical plug is european.

This is an easy way to make your japanese appliance/device work in usa, and in my case ended up saving me hundreds of dollars.
So for $20 you get the proper 100v and save yourself hours of effort trying to fix issues caused by over-voltage power.
I like it also not expensive because it’s for usa only for global use one is very expensive this oneunder $20
Shipping
I use it for my kotatsu table i got shipped from japan.
Packaging/appearance
I guess it could have been packaged better, but at least for us, nothing broken, nothing bent, no fires, sparks.
