I didnt have high expectations of this item

I had hoped and thought the power was derived from wall source when plugged in but this does not appear so

To test this i used the flashlight and put it on the drill press head as it is designed to do also and turned the unit on while the power cord was plugged into a live outlet

After about 30 minutes or so the light started to dim after about an hour it was about 50 bright and then dead a short time after that

It isnt for a work shop were you wil use it dayly and need it for serious wood or metal work

The only problem was with the latching of the drill on the post which was because i was not fitting it properly

My tip is dont get the nicad power handles nicads dont last very long
