So yes it hurts if you wear it for lengthy periods of time but it is supposed to be worn only 15 minutes at a time

Theres no risk of it being too loose or too tight since the velcro padding extends all the way along the straps and onto the back plate meaning youll never run out of room to tighten them properly

The material itself is very soft and doesnt dig into your sides provided youve adjusted it correctly
