Pros
The display size is critical and i like the temperature gauge. Everything works as intended. Resets well. Easy to setup.
The cadence thing is about accurate. It is 99% accurate in its display of speed and miles when compared to a gps. The temperature is something to be taken objectively because no thermometer would display accurate reading anyway.
It does what it advertises, it's fairly inexpensive, and it lasts. The 2 bike mode is a definite plus as well.
I use studded tires for winter riding, switching to smother (faster) tires once the danger of icy roads is past. This unit works well, and has the optional rear wheel mounting sensor.

Battery changing is a hassle. I had to take it apart with a hunting knife. I get a year and a half per battery.

I think that perhaps those who have rated this bike computer poorly received defectivedamaged units that were sourced through shady thirdparty sellers

Easy to read during daylight there is no backlight so at night it is not visable at all
