The grip has a shutter release button on the bottom. On a real canon pack, the texture on the grip is identical to the camera body's. On the photive brand, the leather texture is just slightly different.
This is just as advertised, grip feels great. Fits perfectly and works flawlessly.

The batteries are lighter than the originals and dont last as long but i didnt buy the grip for the batteries so its ok

The camera itself is a bit on the small side so if you have medium to large hands holding the camera is somewhat awkward

When you take pictures in portrait modevertical you can still hold the camera on the right side which is more comfortable

My original shipment from butterfly photo was lost in transit and amazon was of no help at all in resolving the matter
