To put things on a scale im using a pair of sennheiser hd 380 pros as my reference headphones and i gotta say when i first put these on i was blown away with the mids and highs especially with the lord of the rings fellowship of the ring soundtrack which made male and female vocalists jump to life and let it be noted these headphones do not see any major benefits from amplification

Phiatons not as wellknown as some of the larger brands such as sennheiser and bowers wilkins but all its products over the past couple years have received stellar reviews especially by those who can appreciate its wellsculpted clear sound signature

Design and comfortpart of the fusions appeal is that it delivers the sound that it does without assuming the clunky industrygrade appearance of some highend headphones

Its black but with red lining where the headband meets the earcupswhich cant really be seen from afar but manages to bring a subtle dash of color to the headphones

The earcups are borderline supraaural onear but so far ive found that to my liking as many headphones with circumaural overtheear earcups tend to slip around when the wearer is not completely stationary
