It smears on bolt threads and allows them to thread without drag.
Cons
There are no seals on the lids so it can be removed easily. I suggest that we are paying for 8 oz bottle, not the compound. However, the compound only reach to the top of blue label when i opened it.

Regular antiseize works for many applications but doesnt work when two completely different metals aluminum stainless steel and carbon steel are attached
