On the new model theres a safety button on the underside so that if a pet or small child knocks it over it will automatically turn off

The heaters originally had a thermostatic dial setting so you could set the thing to heat up to say 64 degrees and not heat over that temp

Most people who buy this type of heater want heat to blast out at 200 degrees f and are so spoiled that the slightest delay in bringing room temp up to 80 degrees when its cold will make them return a heater

Sort of a shame because the original pelonis design was quite energy efficient
