Pros

This otoscope is great to use at home. It is strong and seems very durable. I'm a np who used this for a mobile sports physical clinic. A good quality instrument to use in a remote area.

Only complaint is that the light obstructs some of the view when in use. It magnifies better and has a brighter light than my doctor's $300 model. They zipper case keeps it protected and we can see just fine.

The smallest attachment still seems a bit big for my 4 year old's ears. You can easily visualize the state of the ear drum with the magnification and lighting. It's easy to change the batteries and the size settings of the tips.

Cons

When visualizing the tympanic membrane, the magnification glass is not gauged correctly and causes a tunneling effect. The position of the bulb obstructs the view through the speculum.

It is like every junk flashlight you have bought from harbor freight. Dull light and lacks a decent magnifier. Also the light is not adjustable in size.
