It did take some time to sync the box to my wireless internet but when connected it was working like a charm

When connected to the internet it receives weather info for your post code and presumably make allowances for outside temperatures

It took me a while to work out what was going on if you schedule the heating to come on at 7am the nest assumes you want the programmed temperature to have been reached by that time but grossly overestimates how long that takes

Mine did loose each other which meant i had to search the web to reconnect them back but has been reliable enough since

This is a legacy product so do read the reviews of the 3rd gen version that may have had some of the issues resolved edited they havent

What would be useful for future optimisation would be control over the boilers water temperature the nest already knows what the outside temperature is because you tell it your location but this is unlikely to happen as the boiler manufacturers would need to add this function as well
