This product allows for both it stabilized my videos when compared to just holding my dslr but it so nowhere close to a tripod but i was not expecting that

It allowed me to walk around slowly and carefully while taking video with minimal bounce of the camera

At first i thought it was a gimmick but when watching the footage back i noticed the lady in front of me head going up and down with the waves and the camera almost perfectly steady

You can even attack this to a tripod since there is a screw on the bottom
