Pros
The base of the mount is 7. Inches tall. As long as your bluray player is a newer model that is extremely small footprint and light weight then this is a good choice for attaching the player to the television.
Cons
It mounts on the wall which leaves no room for the cables comming out of the dvd. Didn't come with all the parts to affix the shelf to the mount options.

I have a wall mounted tv in my bedroom and needed a way to get my tivo mini mounted so it was unobtrusive and not mounted to the wall

The bracket isn’t the longest and it barely cleared the top edge of the tv which makes it look great

It did require a couple of additional screws nuts and washers that weren’t supplied but i had them laying around
