Most people are likely plugging this directly onto the wall or into a power strip which is why there are quite a few reviews that say the thing gets hot and has a bad signal

The interface on the router is pretty simple to setup once you connect to the ip of the router itself and flip the hardware switches

My issue with the device is that it misses some basic features for instance when setup as an access point it will tell you how many clients are connected but you cant lookup their ip addresses or mac addresses in the admin interface

There is no security in terms of trying to lock down your network based on mac addresses either

While it does use wpa2 its also an ac1200 router so that means anyone who happens to get your network address and password will have super fast access to download anything on the network being shared but you cant tell who they are without other equipment

Wifi cards on different oses will try to connect to devices that have the same ssid so spoofing the ssid of the network to capture password is a piece of cake for anyone with 5 minutes and the inclination
