Whilst it does a great job of lighting up the worktop the batteries really only last a couple of hours tops at which point a small led flashes red to indicate the unit needs charging

When the lights run out of battery a red led inside the fitting blinks to warn you theyre dead

It is not too sensitive and doesnt turn itself on unless the door is opened and yet reliably turns on when needed

It is compact and feels sturdy it had led indicators to show when it is charging and they change colour when charging is complete
