The waist buckle has an elastic the male buckle goes thru then theres a button you have to push in order to unbuckle

I felt zero strain on my upper body and only a little discomfort on my lower back but its probably because i was wearing the carrier too low

The bebear can face outward but its so bulky so i am returning it and keeping the mom
