There are instances of editorializing for the sake of efficiency in story-telling. However both are enjoyable. Going right from the start of one to the end of the other is an experience that leaves a satisfaction that i have not felt in a long time.
Great 2 pack game in one. Great atmosphere. Great game already, now even bettter.
While 2033 was designed more as a survival horror than its sequel, it’s not the amount of ammo that can be picked up but how much ammo is required by the end of the game. Metro 2033 is remastered beautifully.
Cons
The laundry list of dislikes for this game runs a mile long. You'll spend more time googling how to get through a level than playing it. This game gives you little to no instructions on what your current mission is.

The shooting mechanics of both entries are identical with the same weapons and customizations available

I never expected to actually feel the things that all horror games try to make you feel

And dont get me started on aboveground beautifully bleak with those wonderful air filter sections that tested your skills and doomed the unworthy to repeatedly putting on and taking off their mask to preserve the 8 seconds of air they suddenly discovered they had while fighting off packs of mutant wolves and praying for the damned cutscene to end before the protagonist choked to death and i had to do it all over agathe gun sounds though

Most noticeable for me was the fact that reloading assault rifles reminded me less of gritty soldiers walking on a knifes edge between war and peace and more of a 90s nerf gun commercial

Im still the noobiest of noobs when it comes to shooters so no ranger difficulties for me but normal sparta mode i think was hard enough and i died quite a few times
