Removal of the front door easily solves this issue. The onboard fan on high is a tad noisy. Needless to say, heat dissipation is especially important to me.

But do not be deceived. The performance stinks. It is unbelievably loud.

Was able to setup the device with 4 hds, but stopped working within a month. Did not work out to add some emergency disk space for me. The drives are not very secure and the overall drive is beyond cheap.

Have emailed mediasonic customer service three times without any response. No warranty support. Amazon only offers the manufacturer's website after the 90 day return window. Medi masonic is non-responsive.

I did not check my motherboard bios before i started this process to see if it had an update. If you want stability and rock solid reliability stay away from the mediasonic unit.
