Mayne product is a sheath that fits over a 4x4 post that you provide. The quality of end result relies on the installer providing a solidly installed post. After installing a p. Arm comes with small 2x4 wood sleeve to address what others termed wobbly...  Read More

Cons

The mailbox arm is extremely wobbly. The wobble is too much for this to be considered a quality product. The mailbox is sad and all limp.

In less than a year, all the trim showed some sort of pitting. Overpriced to say the least. Do yourself a favor and spare yourself from wasting a lot of money on this.

Much like others have said if you install this like the instructions would suggest the arm and brace that hold the mailbox itself would be on the flimsy side

The molded plastic just isn’t robust enough

They provide a piece of 2x4 that slips into the arm but it is only to provide something for the 1x6 that sits under the mailbox to screw into 1x6 not included

Instead of only running the supplied lag bolts through the plastic arm drill a couple of matching holes in the back of the mailbox itself and bolt through the back of the mailbox and the plastic into the 4x4 that the main post slips over

Be careful when installing not to grab it with your dirty hands ask me how i know

I suspect this may required regular scrubbing or painting to keep looking good
