The light display a soft yellow light works only when you press the large button at the top of the clock

I like every featurethe backlight which does not blast you with blue light the easytoread display the sturdiness the ease of operation the tripod that supports it which then folds up when you travel to protect the clock face its quiet operation no ticking and the color which in my case is a pretty blue

The key is the front cover when closed covers the buttons so theres no accidental button pushing

The labels on the buttons do not make the function obvious so it is necessary to read the instructions
