Pros
I love my maglites for their durability so i can’t figure out why a cheap plastic lens was used that gets easily scratched and dirty. It's gorilla glass so it is very strong. Well worth the price.
Lens is perfect for replacing the foggy original plastic lens in my 4 cell maglight. The lens is the same size as the maglite. It fit the d cell mag-lite perfect.
Cons
A 4d cell incandescent mag lite was ruined by defective batteries. However is only about half as thick. Without compressing this seal there appears no visible advantage to making this switch.

Even though maglite includes a good quality plastic lens with its fine flashlights it is still plastic

If i were a police officer i would try whacking it hard against a wall to see if the bulb could take it before i went down a dark alley and it failed
