Pros & Cons
Pros
Salt free brown rice cakes are such a great snack or 2-3 of them with a favorite topping. Each 'tube' of cakes is double bagged. This cello works great at keeping the cakes fresh while in storage.
The product was so nicely packaged, doubled wrapped for freshness and in a carton with each unit separated by cardboard to keep crumbling at a minimum. They are very crunchy too. Only complaint is that they crumble a lot.
This healthy snack is crunchy, tasty and fills you up. These are whole grain and i am using them in place of the microwave popcorn i was previously eating.
Toast them lightly (solves the chewiness problem) and top them with great things like real butter and/or almond butter sprinkled with sea salt. I feel that these hold their structure a little better than the sesame tamari ones from the same product li... Read More
They are vegetarian (vegan, actually), gluten free, and non-gmo. And they arrive a little chewy. They take the place of highly sugared treats and are delicious.
Cons
These were the driest rice cakes i'd ever known. As i'm opening the packages the rice cakes just crumble. This flavor is slightly better than the honey nut flavor but still nothing but crumbs.
Highlights
Quality
The quality was excellent and our hostess loved them
I think if push came to shove we would choose the more popular brand but with the subscribe and dave these are a good deal
Only the label which should be called false advertising but there are no standardized rules for labeling products glutenfree in the usa
Not sure why lundberg cant do quality control on their end
Shipping
The shipping was prompt but not packed or handled carefully enough
I dont know if they were broken in shipping or if they just fall apart more easily but many were broken into pieces
Packaging/appearance
These rice cakes are umami explosions the pieces actually explode off of the cake
