It is well made and very adjustable. Worth every penny. It looks nicer than anything i could have made.

It is compact, lightweight, easy to install and stowe away. Since it folds up it's easy to stow away when not in use. The unit is also very lightweight, which makes it easy to handle.
Cons
It's awkward and a hassle to use. When installing, i took my eye off for one second to grab a strap and a swell knocked it off the top rung and the thing sunk like a rock.

Found a better way to secure it to the ladder because lets just say it was a bit floppy with the manufacturers setup
Its not difficult to hook up but sometimes with the waves hitting the boat you can lose balance

Although it is much cheaper than similar items out there the price is a little steep for what it is
It cost me about 15 in stainless parts at home depot
Packaging/appearance
We just leave it dangle all day out of the way on the safety strap until the dog wants to play and then easily put it back on the ladder
The only downside there was already a bit of paint chipped off right out of the box
He only attached one strap and eventually it just slid down the ladder
Competitiveness
We have a 90lb lab who loves to swim
This is a great solution for our 60lb labradoodle
The only thing that stopped us from giving 5 stars was needing to add antiskid tape to the platform
Our 60lb lab can stand on the platform in the water and then climb the last couple of steps to get into the pontoon by herself

When your trying to put it on in the water it’s hard to hold the load a pup in place and attach the loose straps

Ended up bending it then the paint is now falling off so we are worried about it now rusting
