So with the current setup the dp adapter gets a free pass on hdcp encryption because i am simultaneously outputting hdmi to my projector and i am duplicating the display windows key p to change this option this simple little adapter fixed an issue that i may have otherwise not have been able to resolve

Hdcp encryption had become the bane of my existence once beforemy pc was connected directly to an lg led tv and worked for years then all of a sudden one day it would not longer output any signal whatsoever via the hdmi output from my video card
