Pros
The quality of leuchtturm 1917 never fails. No clutter and well made. Only odd thing is that only pages at the end & beggining of the notebook have easier to tear ends.
The binding is sturdy and i appreciate the craftsmanship that is put into the journals. There are separate loops available and they have to be purchased separately. Two ribbon dividers help you keep organized.
The dot journal is my favorite because i can bullet journal with calendars and drawings whenever i want. There is a big envelope at the end of it, if you find these useful!
Cons
The paper feels thinner and folds/creases easily. The cover feels like flimsy cardboard.
The dots are almost non existent and the binding is coming undone. I'm very disappointed and unfortunately since i opened it, it's not returnable.
Ink also bleeds through pages easily so there’s a ton of ghosting. Bleed through was bad even using light pressure with a regular old bic round stic pen.
Feathering is terrible. High cost is no longer justified by this terrible quality. I pay extra money to get a notebook of a certain quality, and then it breaks after less than a week of usage.
This causes pages to stick together unevenly so pages buckle or don't lay flat. The title/header area is reduced.

Theyre packaged well seem quite sturdy and i love the narrower ruling as i write quite small
Comes with a ribbon bookmark and a little folder on the back to store small papers
Competitiveness
I’ve tried dozens of brands of notebooks but i always come back to this one
Ive tried others but these stand out to me as the clear best option
I’ve only had this journal for a day and half but i already know i’m not going back to previous journal brands
I no longer bother to look for any other brand

I have 3 of the a4s and this was my first a5

I got an a5 for my psych class because i didnt need as much space for noteslayouts per page

The a5 is smaller and has 241 pages at 80 gsm

The a4 is larger and has 235 pages at 100 gsm so the pages are thicker and dont really bleed

On the a4 you can see in the pic that the writing from my pen alone is visible through the pages
