Pros
I highly recommend this project to anyone who feels like soldering is too hard to learn. The color mixing is so cool! I know nothing about soldering but my 11 year-old was interested in learning. Very easy to solder good connections.
Hue is a great step up from blink. Would recommend to novice or young person. It's a fun distraction or play around with after it's assembled.
Rocket dept. Makes the most aesthetically pleasing kits. These kits are how my nine year-old granddaughter learned to solder.
Cons
It seems like a good project if it arrived intact, but i was unlucky. Packaging is thin.

Quality
Pcb quality is excellent with gold pads allowing easy solder reflow even on the ground
Bought this for my niece last year and she continues to use it works well and is decent quality
And once the learning is done with the soldering you get to see just how many colors you can create with a mix of red green and blue
Price
My only knock is that i think the price is high for the components that are in it

From the the design of the pcb to the packaging everything looks carefully planned
