Pros

My daughter loves coloring, but has serious perfectionist tendencies. It is easyish to follow, enough so that my smart 3rd grader has been holding art class and teaching us to draw. My 5-year old loves it and practiced drawing every day.

The instructions are step by step and the end result is a recognizable animal. Young artists are also encouraged to trace over an outlined animal on the page. It's very instructive.

But she finds this book little boring and hard to follow directions. She finds it difficult to follow the author's direction.
