Pros & Cons
Pros
This slicer is awesome. Absolutely a fantastic deal. Used in small deli meat production.
The teflon blade is exceptional. Cut 2 hard salami, 2 genoa salami and 3 sandwich pepperoni with ease. The blade is wonderful for slicing cheese. The tray can actually clear the blade on both sides.
Cleaning is not all that difficult, but you do have to take the machine apart. The fence is just two 14mm bolts on the underside of the fence, loosen them up and adjust them. Same with the tray, loosen the two 6mm hex cap bolts and slide the tray forw... Read More
The kws ms-12nt is a big, heavy machine (hubby has to be around to lift it onto my counter) but it is powerful and can handle a big brisket. The motor is sturdy and quite.
Cons
The carriage stops just short of clearing the blade, so the bottom corner of whatever you’re slicing has to tear free instead of cutting cleanly. Without any food in the cradle, the front end the gripper is 3/4 from the blade.
The hobart slicer is a fabrication. The dial knob for adjusting thickness is a poor design.

Highlights
Quality
Id buy it again but with its quality i dont think ill have to anytime soon
Great value quality and arrived in perfect condition
However the build quality is definitely less than desirable
Problems we had with oursring was set too far out so we couldnt get the honing stones to make contact with the blade
Shipping
I am not going to return it under warranty as the shipping costs are on me and would be high as this is a heavy machine
Packaging/appearance
Didnt get 5 stars because packaging was insufficient to withstand shipping damage
The one screw looked like it was tossed in as an after thought and was loose in the box
Competitiveness
They really do care about their customers
I really want a 14 incher if possible
