This gadget works just like you see in a deli. But secondly this slicer is a beast! We love this works like a charm, and i wanted pretty when it was on the countertop!

Cleanup is a lot easier than i thought it would be. The way its built is very safe for operation and cleaning. Getting it as clean as it was when you started is essential.

Cons

I suspect the slicer is defective and will be exchanging it for the same model. The blade is razor sharp, and needs to be removed for each cleaning. But that paint is a big issue.

Bought a different smaller one and the plastic gears broke after first use cheese puts a large load on the blade this handles it like a pro
