Pros

This adapter is for kuat racks only, and is better than other generic 2 to 1. Seems to work great with my thule t2 pro xt 2 bike rack. The screw provided allows me to attach the adapter to the sherpa rack.

It is a very nice piece of extruded aluminum that is made to bolt onto their 1. Base and my 2017 toyota tacoma with factory tow package. The rack is stiffer than it was in a 1 1/4 hitch.

Cons

This adapter is a kludge at best. Does not work with nv.

The two m5 bolts are slightly too long, which means the bolt closest to your bikes gets damaged by the ball bearing once to turn/tighten the handle. Because of the geometry the holes are offset and will not align. The problem is that it does not aligh... Read More

This product works perfectly for what it is intended to allow use of the kuat sherpa bike rack with 1 1434 mount in a 234 receiver hitch

The locking pin is a little difficult to slide through after this is attached has to be lined up perfectly but that helps with the rattles

The receiver hole may not line up with the rack

As others have said the hitch pin interferes with the racks insertion tube

It comes with 2 allen head bolts that screw into the pre tapped holes on the rack

0 had the shank hole in the 34incorrect34 too high position meaning this adapter will not work with these early versions

Competitiveness

If you have a kuat rack i dont think there is a better alternative to this adapter

It actually fits pretty solid and holds the rack in very tightly in a 2inch hitch

The hitch lock that came with your kuat rack will not fit the holes because it is not aligned
