One disadvantage of a u lock vs. A combination lock is that each one of the wheels exposes the internal workings. I use a heavy duty 6' cable w each (ace hardware) and so far has provided adequate security.

Love the no-key non-hassle. The lock itself works great and the mount is perfect. It fits in my back pocket.

This is what i was really worried about. I leave near the ocean and it is even showing signs of rust but work fine.

There is no emergency key on these and they are prone to jamming. Over 6 months the mechanism will jam and leave you impossibly stuck. The sliding latch is shoddy and can also pop off.

Kryptonite needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. More recent reviews are quite mediocre. The 4th dial from the left, it just sticks all the time.

Tumblers are as cheep and difficult as the contamination tumblers you get on chinese luggage travel locks from a dollar store. Impossible to operate with even the thinnest of gloves.
