We found early on that if we fill the top reservoir exactly level full and grind for about two seconds after the last bean disappears from the top into the mix the yield is a pretty even medium grind

I dont know if other brands of beans will grind in the same way but so far weve used several different brands and the results have been the same

We used our old grinder for other things besides just coffee which meant frequent cleaning unless we enjoyed dried chili pepper powder in our coffee which we dont
