It works really well on my yorkie. She is a mini yorkie, maltese, poodle and she has so much hair, she's like a fuzzball. I use it on my 7lb papillon.
The bristles are soft enough that they don’t bother him. He will always fight or cower away when seeing any grooming utensils. The bristle does a great job of removing any loose fur.
This is the best slicker style brush i have ever found. This is probably the cheapest slick brush i could find for my puppy.
It removes loose hair, keeps the hair tangle-free, and prevents any matting. I use a tiny comb and run it through to get the hair out. Works great at getting rid of tiny knots too.
Cons
There's no way this wasn't hurting them. The bristles remind me of needles.

But our maltese mix tends to 34deal34 with the brushing once we starting using the jw gripsoft slicker brush
I had a self cleaning brush before but the 34cleaning flap34 always came loose and interfered with the brushs function

This brush has been a savior to me and the price was amazing
The price is great and would strongly suggest this for a slicker brush
