The color of the light seems slightly bluer than the 2700k incandescent bulbs ive compared it to which is what id expect from 3000k

The thing that bothers me is the 34thermal plastic cover34 which is opaque to light meaning that the whole base of the bulb doesnt appear lit when its turned on

I realize that this is visible in the image and that the presence of the cover is in the description but the picture is of the unlit bulb and it didnt really register to me that i wouldnt get a full globes worth of illumination

As others mention this bulb type is hard to source as an led and at this sizeluminosity
