It was hard to tell from the photos but the material is plastic

The line itself has holes for hangers and stops between all the holes so your hangers dont all slide to the middle or to one end

The hooks at each end made it easy to string up across the room in a brick and concrete structure saving me from traveling to the outdoor line first thing in the morning for dry clothes
