I tried running them solely off the power from my pioneer cd deck and failed miserably all they did was put out a terrible buzzing noise

I didnt notice at first but after the speakers broke in i noticed the vocals were alittle wrong

As a side note i did use foam baffles in the doors as well this boosted the clarity noticably
