They use a 110v to 12v power convertor and there are places where you can cut the strip of leds to get them to the length that you need

The led strip is 16 feet long with 300 leds so it will light up a large area

The strip has a male connector on one end and female connector on the other so you can add more strips however there is no specifications with the unit so i dont know how many strips could be joined safely for the power supply

The led strip is silicone and will be suitable for use outdoors but as others have mentioned the power supply is for indoor use only and will have to be protected if used outdoors i dont see this as a problem

The strip of lights had 2 sections of 3 diodes that failed to produce blue light

Pushing on one of these diodes temporarily fixed the issue but returned when released
