Pros
Unlike the mat, it is very simple to install and plugs into a marked and dedicated sae connector-type plug on the heater mat. Just 4 bolts and the dish is easily removed.
If your tired of brushing the snow off your dish buy this. No more running out in the cold to brush off the snow every hour or so.
The photo is the proof. Second, is aesthetics. A big load off my mind for the future.
It is awesome! This works great and completely solved my problem. All in all, i'm very pleased with the way this all works.
Cons
Directv hd dish heater is non-functional. No on/off switch or indicator light when the unit is heating. Appears to be a thermostat problem.

Called satellite oasis and they immediately shipped a new one along with a paid return shipping label
I was then pleasantly surprised when they did if fact ship another warmer to me
They commented that it was extremely rare that the element was bad because they are tested before being shipped

Prior to installing the hotshot satellite dish heater i would have to frequently clear snow off the satellite dish especially if it is wet heavy snow

Used to climb up on roof and smack at it with a broom then after i popped my shoulder i swatted at it with the roof rake from the ground

Found this and installed it now the snow no longer accumulates and we have had several recent storms with 534 of heavy wet snow

I took the reflector off and installed heat tape to the back

Was a simple install just 2 bolts and the dish part comes off and no need to get realigned or anything like that
