Pros & Cons
Pros
Solid wood stock. Seemed a bit more stable with the longer guns heavier stock (and overall stabilized weight) held lower in the vice. Worked perfectly. Ask my 9yo grandson. He used it to brush his teeth.
The ar 15 is lightweight and appears adjustable enough to use with all my long guns. It has a little insert that goes under the grip of the rifle and is movable to three different positions and also adjustable for height.
The * on this are slightly more flimsy then i would like them to be but it still gets the job done so not gonna ding this too much. For those applications, a barrel clamp and bench vise are recommended.
Cons
A threaded brass female insert would have completely solved this issue. Will not clamp anything bolt spins and pushes through the vice block.
Highlights
Quality
Works pretty good for cleaning and scope mounting
I know what i was looking for something to be able to hold a rifle to work on and mount scopes
This product does just that it is very lite which effects the sturdiness of it but seeing as its mounting it holds just fine
One other thing is the pads that hold make a popping noise when tightening down could be the plastic moving a little bit as it locks in
Price
Works as intended for the price its a good purchase
