The larger lens caps are tethered so you are less like to loose them although not for the eye pieces

I think manufacturers make their technical writers flunk a competence test before they hire them if they pass they dont get hired for example nothing in the instructions about the horizontal tripod mount being hidden by the the plastic cover that holds the tether for the larger lenses

You may need an adapter to mount it in a tripod depends on the tripod

Id like to add that contrary to what someone else said these are tripod mountable with the binocular adapter a cheap item to acquire
