Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the reason i choose these, and is one of the things that separates them from many competitors. Hertz warranty card still in the box, serial numbers, marks are strait.
Good bass response and clear mids and highs on a good amp. Crisp highs are just right, not screechy or over powering. I have these as my front speakers running off a pioneer deck and an older 400.
Set up in network mode with separate inputs for the tweeters and woofers. This cools down the somewhat harsh highs these tweeters can have. If you like a loud setup with a bright tweeter, these are great.
The holes line up perfect to the rivet holes. Perfect fit in my 2008 jeep wrangler. Just a little something better, and came across these at the local car audio shop.
Highly recommend these speakers from people doing a simple stock speaker swap. Much better than the stock speakers in my mb sprinter. It takes a few clicks, but you're a link or two away from an interactive map of authorized hertz dealers.
Cons
At just mid volume they start popping and giving out a lot of static lime their blown and i only have 50 watts going to them. Quality of the highs is harsh. Very unpleasant to listen to.
Highlights
Quality
Now these things play great excellent sound quality and imaging
Speakers sound great the build quality on hertz is always nice
It is hard wired with really thin speaker wires like 18ga
The woofer does not get any filtering at all just a full range signal that naturally rolls off which is fine
Price
Pricing was also reasonable and for under 300 for front components and a set of rear coaxials
For a 100 component set they are awesome
But for 100 buck your getting some great speakers
Got them for just over 100 on amazon
Shipping
These arrived and i thoroughly vetted them
Got them in a reasonable amount of time
So then i started to do some searching and i came across hertz
Competitiveness
Even better than premium brands already in car stereos
This isnt going to be the bigger snappier bassier sound you get from a 400 dollar pair of top of the line hertz with a bigger m... Read More
As an entry level speaker in the hertz line they sound better than most of the top of the line of some of the more common brands
Being that theyre hertz there still better than most of the brands out there

They will sound louder than factory speakers just because the vocals are clearer

I had to separate the plastic layers of the factory tweeter mount and enlarge the mounting hole with a hole saw then reassemble and hotglue the mounting pieces back together
