We enjoy sauerkraut, and its flavor is definitely off. There is very little pungency. This hengstenberg stuff isn't even a contender.

I has a very pleasant flavor and i am quite pleased with the product
We love this product and are saddened that it is discontinued
First lets start with the fact that hengstenberg products use no artificial preservatives or colors
Price
Having bought the 12 jar version reduced the price half or so
Shipping
The jars were well packed and marked as fragile but shipping glass jars is a risky game
Howeveri did not have good luck in shipping a rather heavy package
Packaging/appearance
Its delicious straight out of the jar or cooked

The jars were packed lids facing each other i was expecting they would all be in the same direction so the outer box itself could have a right side up sign

But maybe having the lids facing each other cuts down on the impact force on the glass if the box is jostled

My amazon box was oversized and did not fit the tightly wrapped 12 bottles of sauerkraut

The bubble wrap packing was pretty good i suppose but the company needs to find a different method maybe individual cardboard cutouts the shape of a bottle that the bottles can nestle in

Pricing in the attached price list are incorrect as they have misplaced a decimal point
