Make note if you use this unit in my application youll need to separately purchase an adapter to convert your smartphone signal to hdmi

I havent tested it with a bluray movie but we bought it to connect an hdmi bluray playersurround system to a projector that only had composite input

The only concern is blurays with their handshake requirement via hdmi but if that doesnt work that wasnt the main reason for purchasing this product

The only problem was that the power adapter connection was a bit loose so if it got jostled id lose the video output which is of course not a fun problem to have when gaming

I solved it by just taping the usb connector to the adapter
