The ease of installation and lack of need for removal made it the clear choice for the job not to mention that it appears it will last at least another 5 yrs if not indefinitely

When the foam is clean the concentrated flow will flow into the gutter just fine but the length of foam it has to flow through to reach the outlet creates too much of a restriction and water backs up

In the winter because it takes up volume it allows less water in the gutter to freeze thus reducing the weight of ice in the gutter
