Pros & Cons
Pros
This one not only keeps the rug in place, but is very cushioned. Nice cushioning, but not bulky. It has a mild rubbery smell initially, which fades in a couple days.
The mat is designed to keep your rug from sliding. It works very well on hardwood floors. It also works well on ceramic tile floors.
Cons
The smell is absolutely horrific. Because it legitimately smells like the bottom of a guinea pig cage. Uncured material makes me worried about it breaking down and/or releasing that material into my wood floors.
Highlights
Quality
An active dog goes in and out this door frequently and the rug has moved, but not a lot, so i'm still happy with the purchase.
I took the recommendation of the professional who refinished and installed more hardwood flooring in my home and i am totally pleased.
I do recommend this though just for the fact that the quality seems great, my rug stays put, and that makes the value a-okay with me.
The pad provides a really nice cushion under the rug, without interfering with the door swing.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging came folded so there were massive creases in the pads that i had to really work to get out.
Competitiveness
I did not want to use a waffle-style anti-slip mat, so i researched and came across this mat.
It’s fine but there are better products.
Not to mention it is slightly larger than 2’x3’ so it shows from under the rug.

It was difficult to cut to size due to its thickness and rubber bottom

However if not weighed down by something like a couch or tv stand the rug moves incrementally across the pad until you have to reset it every few weeks

This is avoided by weighing down the rug

Unfortunately the top of it is not rubber so the rug keeps sliding off the pad

If i do happen to need to readjust the rug to straighten it out its actually quite difficult

Unfortunately the manufacturer chooses to fold it to ship and it won’t lay flat when opening
