The setup upon receipt was excellent either done by goldtone the distributor or the retailer

Some other reviews indicated the tuners would slip and the banjolele could not be kept in tune

Check with your retailer to insure you will be getting the new planetary geared tuners which stick out of the sides of the neck as shown on the goldtone site

I purchased this a year ago and opened thinking it was going to sound just like a banjo i play both uke and 5 string banjo i was disappointed because it doesnt sound as i expected it sounded flat

So i have now learned to use a pick and now i am playing this in ways i cant play my banjo my only regret was i got it with a resonator so it tends to shrill when i play high notes or play too hard so i have to exercise control and not hit the strings too hard
